Welcome to the Bin2Bean events on occasion of the T.I.F.! We look forward to meeting you at our booth in the German Pavilion (Hall 13 Booth No 17) from 8 to 12 September.
Bin2Bean is a European project that focuses on the valorisation of bio-waste. N³ is among the partners in the project with participants from France, Italy, Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands as well as the Living Labs Egaleo, Amsterdam and Hamburg.
Bio-waste: challenges and opportunities
Since European law requires bio-waste to be collected and recycled separately since the beginning of the year, many cities are now starting to organise this collection. The experience of the experts at Bin2Bean: only bio-waste without unwanted ingredients results in marketable compost. This is a challenge for the collection and subsequent processes. Good compost provides for healthier soil: thanks to its high proportion of humic substances, it increases soil fertility and at the same time fixes CO2, a contribution to climate protection. Valorisation of bio-waste is an interesting opportunity!
Information and discussion at T.I.F.
N³ therefore offers two information events. Please note these dates:
– Sunday, 8 September, 10:15-11:15 (Main Stage): BIN2BEAN – a European project to demonstrate the benefits of bio-waste for our soils. We are happy to welcome the City of Egaleo, our Greek partner in the Bin2Bean project, as well as an experienced technical manager from Agroflora S.A. to discuss opportunities of the valorisation of bio-waste (in German and Greek language).
– Wednesday, 12 September, 13:15-13:45 (B2B Lounge): Healthier soils in Europe – valorise your bio-waste. Ecological and economic synergies for soil protection: The role of bio-waste in the current European policy (in English language).
N³ in the German Pavilion
T.I.F. will focus on contemporary challenges of Greece that directly impact the daily lives and well-being of citizens, emphasizing new technological means, innovation, and sustainable development. This is a great opportunity to present and discuss the valorisation of bio- and green waste as soil improvers. In Greece, the collection and processing of organic waste is under development.
In 2024, Germany will be the official guest country at the T.I.F. and more than 120 German companies will present themselves in an own hall. We are indebted to the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action for the opportunity to participate in the fair.
